But that doesn’t mean everyone has been impressed with Samsung’s new iPhone-inspired design philosophy.

As was the case with previous smartphones, Consumer Reports put the Galaxy S6 through a battery of tests. Interestingly though, the organization found the device unable to beat the Galaxy phone that’s currently at the top of its smartphone rankings: the 2014 Galaxy S5.
The metal design that seems to be inspired by the iPhone 6 is apparently the main reason Consumer Reports still believes the Galaxy S5 is a better choice.
This year’s Galaxy S phones are made of glass, and have a very thin profile. As a result, Samsung decided to ditch some key features that plenty of Android fans still appreciate, including a user-replaceable battery and, most importantly, a microSD slot.
Furthermore, Consumer Reports says that the Galaxy S6 isn’t waterproof like its predecessor, and it has worse battery life.
However, the Galaxy S6 does have some features that are not available on the Galaxy S5, including quick charge battery technology and built-in support for wireless charging.
