A 68-year-old woman was struck and killed by a Duck Boat in Philadelphia's Chinatown Friday evening.
A woman was struck and killed by a packed Duck Boat tour bus while she was crossing a downtown Philadelphia street Friday, according to local reports.
As investigators worked to remove the woman's body from underneath the amphibious bus, passengers were ordered to remain onboard for nearly an hour, NBC Philadelphia reported.
A large yellow tarp appeared to be the only thing blocking those passengers' view of the gruesome scene underneath.
The victim, who was 68 years old, was crossing an intersection in the city's Chinatown section when she was struck around 5:15 p.m., WPVI reported.
Her identity has not been released.
Friday's tragedy is not the first for the tour company.
In 2010 two Hungarian students were killed when a city barge being pushed by a tugboat hit a stalled Duck Boat in the Delaware River.
Calls to the tour boat company were not immediately returned to the Daily News.
