A massive iPhone 6S features leak earlier this week claimed to reveal the most crucial details of Apple's coming flagship. The leak revealed the iPhone 6S camera, RAM, screen size and other features - including one that could revolutionize smartphone usability. Could Force Touch on the iPhone 6S be a Galaxy S6-killing feature?

Details about iPhone 6S features were obtained from a research note by market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, of KGI Securities, which was leaked to Apple Insider. The note suggested that the iPhone 6S would have a 12-megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM, and that the screen size would be between 4.7 and 5.5 inches (the 5.5-inch screen size could be reserved for a special 'Plus' model).

The iPhone 6S is also tipped to include an extra microphone to enhance voice call quality, and let you use gesture control support to navigate the phone.

At first glance, these features don't seem to be a massive threat to the Galaxy S6. Samsung has, for some years now, held the edge over Apple in terms of flagship phone specs, and that trend looks set to continue with the iPhone 6S (not that that's stopped the iPhone consistently outselling the Galaxy).

But one feature that really stood out in the iPhone 6S leak was 'Force Touch'. This feature - which would be brought over from the latest MacBook's trackpad - uses electrodes in the Retina display to identify whether you're pressing the screen lightly or hard.

Force Touch is already used on the Apple Watch, with a hard press bringing up additional options in Apple apps. But on a larger display there's a lot more potential for the feature - will there be more than two degrees of sensitivity? Could it take smartphone gaming to the next level?

While we love Galaxy S6 features, such as the Edge display and heartbeat sensor, even we have to admit that a force-sensitive touchscreen would be a potentially revolutionary feature that would certainly give the Galaxy's arsenal of gadgets a run for its money.

What do you think? Could Force Touch prove to be the secret weapon of the iPhone 6S, or will it not be enough to make the phone contend with the all-dominant Galaxy S6? Let us know in the comments.
